Dear Blossomwood Families,

The good news about Blossomwood Elementary continues to grow and spread across Alabama! As you may be aware, here are three recent announcements:

Blossomwood's annual report card was an 85/B for the 2022-2023 school year based on student growth, student achievement, and student attendance. This was once again an improvement from the previous three report card grades of 82/B in 2018-2019, and 83/B in 2021-2022. (We did not have annual standardized testing during the school years impacted by Covid.) In fact, our rate of academic growth was 99.17% for the 2022-2023 school year!

Ms. Shannon Williamson, one of our classroom teachers, was recently recognized as the Huntsville City Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year! Ms. Williamson will go on to compete at the state level. Good luck, Ms. Williamson!

Our Superintendent, Dr. Clarence Sutton, recently nominated our school's Blossomwood D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program for a state level award. We have completed and submitted our application, and we are hopeful that the committee will agree that this wonderful program is worthy of state recognition! Special thanks to Mr. Zach Hall for serving as the chair of Blossomwood D.O.G.S. His enthusiasm and encouragement has brought so many father figures to volunteer inside our building and classrooms!

Thanks again for all that you do at home, and let's have a wonderful week of learning!
