Dear Blossomwood Families,

The weather certainly has been anything but boring over the last month with unseasonably warm days accompanied by other days with a bitter cold wind. If your child is missing a jacket, coat, sweatshirt, gloves, etc., please encourage them to check the lost and found just outside the school cafeteria. It is once again becoming full.

We enjoyed seeing many of you all at last week's Valentine's parties.

Congratulations to Blossomwood Elementary School!

Several of our students recently participated in an essay contest about the Tuskegee Airmen. This is an annual event in which our students have set the standard and won several awards. This year we won several awards again!

Black History at Blossomwood!

We continue to enjoy learning about Famous Black/African Americans this month in all of our classrooms, and we will continue to learn about all groups of Americans throughout the school year!

Many of our students have been researching famous African Americans as well as learning about the impact that they have made on our country and our lives today. As you can tell by the pictures fifth grade's "bottle biographies," our students did an excellent job and really enjoyed their projects.

Three "bottle biographies" are on display in the library. The projects depict famous African Americans and were created by fifth grade students.
