Dear Blossomwood Families,

Last Friday, our PTA distributed self-care bags filled with essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and more personal items. Good hygiene and self-care are not just about looking and feeling good. They play an important role in the students' overall well-being and success. By practicing good hygiene habits, students can reduce the risk of illness, boost their confidence, and improve their focus and productivity in school.

Many thanks to:
Mr. Zack Hall for leading this initiative and helping our students prioritize self-care!
Blossomwood DOGS for sharing the importance of good hygiene and helping distribute self-care bags to students.
Several BES parents that helped pack the self-care bags for all 578 students.
Special thanks to these community partners for their donations:
Davis Reed Dental (dental care supplies)
Hesterman Derm (lotion, sunscreen, acne cleansers, etc.)
Rocket City Family Medicine, LLC (hand sanitizer)
Northeast Alabama Dermatology (lotion, sunscreen, acne cleansers, etc.)
Maggie Hall & Bill Biles (deodorant and other items)

We had a fantastic ACAP pep rally last Monday as we celebrated our students and encouraged them to do their best on the upcoming ACAP testing in grades 2-6. We played several fun relay games, recognized the class in each grade level with the best attendance rate for March, and listened to the Huntsville High School Band play some pep music! Special thanks to Mr. Tankersley and his HHS Band students for always supporting our school!

Please continue to help us encourage our students as we take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to show how much we have learned this year.

Teachers and students cheer in the gym during the ACAP pep rally.Congratulations Ms. Williamson!

Congratulations to our very own, Ms. Shannon Williamson!

Ms. Williamson leads our collaborative resource classroom, and she was recently named the 2024-25 Elementary Teacher of the Year for District 8. That makes her a finalist for the Alabama Teacher of the Year Award which will be announced in May.

We are excited and proud for you, Ms. Williamson! We are all rooting for you!

Successful Book Fair!

Great news to share - Our Scholastic Book Fair earned $2,786.76 for our school's library! Thank you to everyone that helped celebrate the importance of reading by purchasing new books for our students. The additional funding for the library will help Ms. Fuller to purchase some books for the students to enjoy! Thank you so much!

Let's have another great week!
Sincerely,
Bradley A. Scott, Ed.D.
