Dear Blossomwood Families,
What a fun time to be at Blossomwood! First, ACAP testing is going really well, and we will be finishing strong this week! A great attitude and effort will be important. Second, our students and teacher enjoyed the recent eclipse event together, Third, we learned recently that our school will be receiving multiple awards from the Alabama Council of PTAs! Fourth, one of our teachers, Ms. Shannon Williamson, was named the 2024-25 District 8 Elementary Teacher of the Year which makes her a finalist for the Alabama Teacher of the Year Award that will be announced in May!
Thank You to Limbaugh Orthodontics
We would like to thank Limbaugh Orthodontics for providing free, safety-approved eclipse glasses for our students to view last week's eclipse. It was both a thoughtful and generous gesture from one of our community partners! Our children and employees really enjoyed the opportunity to share the experience at school.
Thank You to the Blossomwood Garden Club
Blossomwood Greenpower Team Races
Our Greenpower Team had a lot of fun and competed well last Friday at the Huntsville City Schools Greenpower Race at Milton Frank Stadium.
Huntsville City Schools Scheduling Update
Friendly Reminder - April 26: This is now a regular school day due to HCS needing to use the weather day in January.
HCS Capital Plan Meeting
Thank you to everyone that attended the HCS Capital Plan Informational Meeting last week. It was good to hear about our district's plans, and we are excited about Blossomwood gaining the Artemis Virtual School on our campus as well as growing by receiving students and families from Chapman in a couple of years.
Blossomwood Civic Organization Meeting
We enjoyed hosting a Blossomwood Civic Organization meeting last week. What a large crowd. It was a wonderful opportunity to share several of the great things that are happening at our school. Thanks to President Beth Wilder, Mayor Tommy Battle, Board Member Holly McCarty, Councilman David Little, HPD officers, and our PTA's very own Mrs. White and Mrs. Moorer for speaking.
Let's have another great week!
Sincerely,
Bradley A. Scott, Ed.D.
