Dear Blossomwood Families,

Thank you to all of our students, families, and teachers for a fantastic school year!

While it was a great school year, our success has not occurred by accident. Therefore, we want to encourage all of our students to take advantage of the summertime:

Read at least three times each week.
Get a public library card and visit the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library.
Practice basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division).
Help mom and dad in the kitchen when measuring amounts for recipes.
Help with chores or tasks around your home.

This week includes our annual "Beach Day" which is a day we have various inflatable water slides for students to go down during the day. Classes will have assigned times at each slide and rotate throughout their assigned day. Supervision will be provided at each slide. Students will get wet going down the slides, but there will not be any major swimming involved.

If you plan to join us for Beach day, please remember that visitors must check in at the office and get a visitor sticker. Similar to a field trip, no siblings are allowed.

Medication Pickup Reminder

If your student has medications at Blossomwood Elementary School, please pick them up by May 23, 2024, at 12:30 pm. Per the state of Alabama Department of Education, we are not allowed to keep medications over the summer. Any medications not retrieved will be disposed of.

Congratulations on our Recent PBIS Party

Congratulations to the students that earned the opportunity to participate in the Positive Behavior (PBIS) Party last Friday. While it was supposed to be a foam party, our PTA helped us to overcome the rainy/stormy conditions by making the celebration one in the school gym with five "blow-ups!"

Special thanks to Mrs. Wilkinson for organizing the event.

Students enjoy playing on one of the inflatables in the gym during the PBIS party.Let's have a great last week of school!
Sincerely,
Bradley A. Scott, Ed.D.
