Chaffee Elementary News 3/30/2023

Principal's Pen

Greetings CES Families,

Please join us tomorrow morning in the cafeteria for Donuts with Grownups!  Please enter through the cafeteria in the back of the school for this event. We will close the doors at 7:55 so that all students are in class by 8am.

Report Cards went home with students on Friday. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s report card, feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher to set up a conference.

As a reminder, the Evolv weapons detection system will be at Chaffee this week. I sent a detailed email on Friday. Please reach out with any questions.

It's time to register! Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren or Ms. Saylor with any questions. Each Friday we will draw student names for prizes to be given to those who have completed registration. We want all students to be registered by the end of March! This will help us to create class lists earlier for next school year.

Save the dates: Spring ACAP Testing is right around the corner! Our 2nd and 3rd graders will test April 3-6. Our 4th graders will test April 17-20 and April 25-26. Our 5th graders will test April 17-20. Please make sure students arrive to school on time, eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school, and have a charged laptop. Please encourage your child to do his/her best. Every test is practice for the next test!

Our attendance rate has improved since spring break! Let’s keep it up! Every day counts for our students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being. When you stress the importance of school, your child will understand the importance of school. Thank you for your help with this.

Soar Eagles,

April Clark

Principal
