Greetings Chaffee Families,
It’s the last week before spring break, and we are continuing Read Across America Week. During this week we celebrate the joy of reading. Students are invited to dress for each day’s theme (see flyer below). I’m looking forward to a wonderful week. As a reminder Friday is an eLearning Day for students. Teachers will provide more information about what your student should expect that day.
All students who attend school Monday-Thursday this week will have their name entered in a drawing for fun prizes!
Spring ACAP Testing is right around the corner! Our 2nd and 3rd graders will test April 1-4. Our 4th and 5th graders will test April 8-11. Please make sure students arrive to school on time, eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school, and have a charged laptop. Please encourage your child to do his/her best. Every test is practice for the next test!
Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open. An email with directions was sent from the district to the primary email address on file for each student. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for next year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren or Ms. Saylor with any questions.

We will be celebrating books and the love of reading. Many fun daily activities are planned to include special guest readers, shared stories read to the entire school, D.E.A.R. (drop everything and read), projects, reading challenges, and a bookmark contest.
