Principal's Pen
Greetings Chaffee Families,
Thank you all for making Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week so special! Our faculty and staff are appreciative of everything we received! Chaffee is such a special place.
We are looking forward to Field Day this Friday! As a reminder, in order to be present for Field Day, you must be signed up as a volunteer. There are a few volunteer spots remaining Field Day Volunteer Sign-up. You will need to check in at the front office with your identification to receive a sticker. Field Day shirts will be sent home with students Thursday to wear on Friday. If you did not purchase a Field Day shirt for your child, please send him/her to school on Friday wearing his/her grade level color (PreK: lime green, Kindergarten: blue, 1st grade: yellow, 2nd grade: green, 3rd grade: red, 4th grade: gray, 5th grade: orange).
I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered this year. We hope to continue to grow our volunteer base next year because it takes everyone to help with the numerous events we want our students to experience.
We are so close to meeting our school attendance goal for the year. We need every student at school each day to reach our goal. Please make sure your student is at school for the last nine school days unless (s)he is excluded per district policy.
Happy Mother’s Day to our Chaffee families!
Our Awards Day Celebrations will be held next week. Please see the flyer below for grade level specific times. Students can earn the following awards: All As, All As & Bs, Excellent Attendance, i-Ready Reading/Math Growth, and Governors’ Physical Fitness. There will be other awards given specific to each grade level. We hope that you can join us to celebrate our students.
We still have families who need to complete registration for the 2024-25 school year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren with any questions. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can better plan for next year.
