Coach LouAllen and Mrs. Barcoe took their Biology, Earth and Space classes on a nature walk to interact with their environment. The students went to a new nature trail behind the school to clean debris and trash. The students took it even farther by going to the Indian Creek Trail as well.
September is National Clean Up Day, an initiative by Clean Trails to draw attention to finding a solution for litter. This initiative encourages our students to give back to our natural lands by cleaning up their local areas. It teaches the students to care for our Earth among many other facts. The lesson was segued with Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!
The students were so excited about their experience!
The teacher plans to have a plant identification and observation next week using Plant ID Data sheets.
