Coach LouAllen's Forensics classes performed microscopic hair analysis to solve a mock crime. Seven suspect samples were compared to hair collected at the crime scene.
Students learned that hair can be class evidence if the follicle is present, They also learned that DNA can be extracted and used as individual evidence. Students compared the samples to match the suspect to the crime.
It was a great lesson!
