The Columbia High School JROTC “Eagle Battalion” hosted it’s Field Day to honor all the cadets in the program for their outstanding performance and achievements this year as we close out the 2023-2024 school year.
Achievements for the 2023-24 school year include:
Columbia High School Clubs/Programs are Over 85% JROTC led (FBLA, SGA, FTA, etc.)
Best JROTC Unit in Madison County, last four years, (Veteran’s Day Parade 2020-2024).
Rocket City Commander Cup Overall Armed Drill Champions (2023).

Lee/New Century 1st Place Unarmed Inspection (2023).
Lee/New Century 1st Place Armed Color Guard (2023)
Lee/New Century Drill Competition Overall Champions (2023)
Lee/New Century Drill Knockout Drills, won 2nd place out of 200 cadets participating (2023)
Sparkman High School 8 Trophies (six – 1st place; two 2nd place) (2023)
Sparkman High School 19th Annual Invitation Drill Meet. Won 1st place in the Unarmed Team Inspection and 3rd place in the Armed Division Exhibition Competition. (2023)
Alabama State JROTC Drill Meet Knock-out Drills, won 3rd place out of 500 cadets participating (2024).
Alabama State JROTC Drill Competition, won 1st place in Unarmed Platoon Regulation, 2nd place in Armed Platoon Exhibition, 2nd place in Armed Dual, 3rd place in Armed Platoon Regulation, and 3rd place in Physical Fitness (2024).
Redstone Arsenal JROTC Day, Won 3rd place in Physical Fitness out of 13 other school participating and won 1st place as Best Spirit Unit Award out of 13 other schools participating (2024).
