Columbia had it's annual Open House and Senior Parent Night and it was a huge success.
Dr. Jones opened the meeting by welcoming the parents and sharing Columbia's goals and initiatives for the school year.
The admin team, teachers, counselors and other staff members were introduced to the parents by Dr. Jones. Our senior advisor, Christen Lane and the counselors spoke to parents, in particular, the senior parents about different expectations and requirements.
Sponsors had displays to showcase various clubs, organizations and to share information with parents and students who may be interested in joining. FBLA, JROTC, FTA, S2S, TSA, Esports, Creative Writing, Academic Team just to name a few. A few college representatives were on hand with pamplets, brochures and information highlighting pertinent the details of what their college or university has to offer!
