Stdents from Columbia standing, looking on with green power car at competition on track at Whitesburg Middle

The Greenpower Team competed in the Toyota Classic Competion at Whitesburg Middle School where the students race eectric cars.

Columbia High School’s Green Power Team recently impressed at the latest Green Power competition, where their teamwork and dedication to sustainable innovation were on full display. The competition challenges students to design, build, and race electric cars powered by green energy, and Columbia’s team rose to the occasion. Every member of the team played a key role in bringing their project to life, with a shared commitment to learning and problem-solving. Despite some technical setbacks, their perseverance and strong work ethic helped them adapt and improve with each race.

Looking ahead, the team is already preparing for the next competition, which will take place in Wetumpka, AL, in February 2025. They are focused on refining their designs and strategies to push for even greater results.
