A large group of Chapman Students enjoying a taco celebration for perfect attendance in September.

To celebrate the importance of attendance, Chapman students who achieved perfect attendance in September were honored with a taco fiesta. 85 students had perfect attendance, a fantastic accomplishment worthy of recognition and celebration. This was a fabulous and delicious celebration where students enjoyed celebrating this achievement with their friends.

Maintaining consistent attendance is an important habit for all students to develop. Coming to school daily ensures that students don't fall behind and miss critical learning opportunities. When students miss just 2 days of school per month, it can have a significant impact on their academic progress:

  • 20 days of school are missed each year

  • 30 hours of math instruction are missed each year

  • 60 hours of reading and writing instruction are missed each year

  • By graduation, an entire school year's worth of learning is lostTwo students celebrating perfect attendance in the cafeteria. A group of students eating and talking during the attendance celebration.
