Hi there,

I hope you're having a fantastic week!

I thank everyone who volunteered and donated money at last week's book fair. Your support is greatly appreciated!

On February 26th at 5:30 PM, Huntsville City Schools will host an Alabama Literacy Act Informational Meeting at Grissom High School. The event is open to all K-3 parents, guardians, or anyone interested in learning more about the Literacy Act. District-level leaders will provide crucial information regarding your scholar's literacy development. We hope to see you there!

A BIG SHOUT OUT to our amazing Challenger community for your dedication and support. Working alongside you to help our scholars grow is a true joy.

Here's to a great week of learning and growing at CES!

Best regards,
Ms. Joiner

ATTENDANCE

We will have attendance meetings over the next few weeks to address students with critical absences. Please know that all absences count towards our school's state report card, whether excused or unexcused. We have many students reaching a critical number of absences. Please be sure your scholar(s) are at school daily. If your child is absent, please send excuses to the front office.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE

As we navigate through our daily lives, it’s essential to stay informed about potential weather impacts on the school day. We have updated protocols to enhance communication between the district and our families, ensuring you have ample notice to plan accordingly.

For accurate and timely information, please check our district website, our Facebook and Instagram pages, and local media stations. Additionally, notifications will be sent via email, phone calls, and text messages. Ensure your information is current and up-to-date on PowerSchool to receive weather notifications. Do not hesitate to contact the school if you need PowerSchool assistance. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we appreciate your cooperation during inclement weather situations.
