I hope you had a great day!

We have a busy week ahead of us!

On February 26th at 5:30 PM, Huntsville City Schools will host an Alabama Literacy Act Informational Meeting at Grissom High School. The event is open to all K-3 parents, guardians, or anyone interested in learning more about the Literacy Act. District-level leaders will provide crucial information regarding your scholar's literacy development. We hope to see you there!

On February 29th at 6:00 PM, Challenger Elementary will celebrate Black History Month. Our school community has prepared for the Black History Program/PTA Meeting. We would like to thank our classroom teachers for their help in preparing our scholars for the program, our amazing PTA, and Ms. Stoddard for preparing the 3rd-grade scholars who will be providing the music! Please make plans to attend. There will be food trucks, vendors, grade-level displays, performances, and student performances and surprises!

On Friday, March 1st, Huntsville City Schools will have support available at Grissom High School to assist parents with registration for the 2024-2025 school year. They will be in the GHS Internet Cafe' from 12:00-6:00 pm. They will also have translation services available. Please stop by to register your scholar(s) for next school year if you need assistance.

We are excited to celebrate Read Across America from March 4th to 8th! It's going to be a fun-filled week with guest readers, exciting activities, prizes, and plenty of reading for students. We encourage all students to read AR books and take AR quizzes to win prizes and earn books! Character Day will be March 7th!

A BIG SHOUT OUT to our amazing Challenger community for your dedication and support. Working alongside you to help our scholars grow is a true joy.

Here's to a great week of learning and growing at CES!

Best regards,
Ms. Joiner
