Hello Challenger Elementary Family,
I hope you had a relaxing weekend an your week is off to an amazing start!!
Beginning of the year, assessments are being conducted. K – 3rd grade students are completing DIBELS testing, and iReady testing is well underway for K - 5th-grade students. Daily instruction begins promptly at 8 a.m. Most classes start reading instruction at this time, so your scholar(s) must be at school on time each day.
Tardy and attendance letters will be going out weekly starting this week. Please remember that we can only accept up to 7 parent excuses per school year, and vacations/trips are not excused absences. Late check-ins and early check-outs can disrupt your child's learning, so please be mindful of this as you plan. You can view the HCS year calendar for our scheduled breaks. Submit your excuses to the front office or email them to Danna Freeman and Kendra Humphrey, including your child's classroom teacher.
Parent Surveys: Please take a few minutes to complete the Parent Survey for our district's accreditation process and our school improvement plan. The survey will be open until August 30th. Please make sure to select Challenger Elementary. Parent Survey Link

It is imperative that you thoroughly review the contents of the folder to stay informed and abreast of your scholar's academic progress. In the event that the folder is not received, we kindly ask that you reach out to the respective teacher for assistance
