Farley Elementary School

Farley 4th grade had a wonderful time on their field trip! Students visited Glenwood Cemetery to learn about “Voices from the Grave”. Local volunteers dressed up as prominent African Americans that were important to the history of Huntsville and told students their stories. That afternoon, students visited Cavalry Hills Community Center to learn about the Buffalo Soldiers. Students got to see a reenactment of a Cavalry charge to battle with live horses, as well as visit civil war camps to learn about hardships and life on the battlefield. Thank you Earthscope for another wonderful field trip!!
