This year at GSES we are celebrating 'mARTch madness'. In conjunction with Youth Art Month students were introduced to the 'Sweet Sixteen' artist that we are studying. This lets students engage in a new way to learn about artist, compare/contrast artists and styles, say reasons they like art, judge and interpret art... The national standards with this one-month vote are significant and engaging for students. All voting is on their art schoology page and is announced on a weekly basis on the news. Students also have access to additional books, information and google slides beyond their class to their art schoology page.
