On January 27th, the first grade at GSES kicked off their annual Owlsome Readers program with a musical performance and parade of book characters. The student will spend the next five weeks reading books at home and sending in paper links for everything they read. These links will fill the first floor hallways and show everyone what amazing readers they have become. The students are excited for all the prizes they can earn for their reading! It really is the best five weeks in first grade! The first-grade teachers are very grateful for the support this program receives from the school and the community.
