Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary

5th grade has been having a fantastic year field tripping! We finished February with our weeklong Space Camp experience. We built & launched rockets, learned about living in space, experienced simulations, and worked as teams to successfully complete our mission! In March, we made up our rescheduled Trash & Treasure Trip to Covanta and Animal Services. We learned about our city’s unique use of our trash to power Redstone Arsenal and even made an edible landfill. We are going to finish 5th grade with an exciting April and May. We are making the most of our last quarter at GSES. Our 5th grade owls are ready to fly from the nest and soar to 6th grade.
