Student using Technology

Mrs. Jordan and Mrs. Randle's third grade classes have had an opportunity to use an AI program for classroom research. This program, called MagicSchool, is provided by Huntsville City Schools. Jordan and Randle have had dialogue with their students about digital citizenship. MagicSchool has allowed students to have a safe space to use an AI program to conduct classroom research, currently on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Amy Carter, HCS Tech Coach, assisted in establishing parameters for their AI, which allows the students to have a "conversation" with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Exposing our students to relevant technology, such as AI programs, through a safe platform, allows us to guide our students on how to have positive interactions with AI. Hannah Moe, a student in Mrs. Randle's class, said "I liked that I could express my questions and interact with a historical figure as we extend our learning about his legacy." Layla Stinson agreed MagicSchool was fun!
