Good Afternoon GHS Community,
Thank you and your students for a great start to the school year. The first few days of school can be turbulent as we get everyone scheduled and settled in. Now we can start learning!
Each week I’ll put the AB calendar in here so you’ll know which classes your student will be attending throughout the week. Remember, Monday and Thursday are always A. Tuesday and Friday are always B. Wednesday will flip weekly.

HCS Cell Phone Policy - Parents, please remember that the expectation is for students to have their personal devices or cell phones stowed away either on their person or in their backpack during instructional time. Refusal to do so may result in temporary confiscation of the device. We look forward to partnering with you to ensure that our students have the opportunity to learn each day free from outside distractions.
HCS Dress Code - Parents, if your student arrives at school out of dress code, they may be asked to change clothes. If the outfit is a distraction to learning, the student may be placed in our In-School Learning Center (ILC) until such time as their parent/guardian can bring them a change of clothes.
Grissom Club Week will take place August 13th - August 16th. During Advisory each day, one grade level will go to the gymnasium to interact with and hopefully join our many clubs and extracurricular activities. There is something for everyone, and I encourage your student to become involved with one of our many groups.
School pictures are scheduled for August 22nd and 23rd. Makeups will be September 19th.
