Greetings Bulls.
Like everything social media has positive and negative aspects. Some of the challenges we experience at school include students:
having unrealistic expectations about beauty, popularity, relationships, etc.
being subjected to social comparisons that directly impact their view of themselves and their self-worth
Cyberbullying and social dram that impacts students ability to engage in classwork and social opportunities at school
Together, we can teach our children the positive and negative impacts of social media and a healthy balance. Please keep smart watches and AirPods at home. Please don't text or respond to student texts during the school day, your child’s cell phone should be off and in their backpack. Students are welcome to come to the office to call you and our office staff will also relay messages for you. Let’s work to keep our students focused more on academics and face-to-face social opportunities than their digital devices!
Go Bulls!
