It was recently announced that Matthew Grace, Annclaire Shulz, and Lorelai Torchia weere selected to this years Alabama All-State Choir. This is a great accomplishment for these students.

The Alabama All-State Choir is an annual event organized by the Alabama Vocal Association to showcase the best choral students from across the state. Participation in the All-State Choir involves several steps and events:

  1. Auditions: Students audition in the fall to qualify. Auditions include performing prepared pieces, sight-reading, and other skill assessments depending on the choir's requirements. For 2024, auditions were held in various locations from November 1-9.

  2. Choirs: Selected students are placed into one of several choirs based on their audition performance. These include:

    • Middle School Treble and Mixed Choirs

    • High School SSAA, TTBB, and SATB Choirs

  3. Festival and Rehearsals: The All-State Festival takes place in the spring. In 2025.

  4. Concerts: Middle school and high school choirs perform separately. The concerts are professionally recorded, and parents and the public can attend
