Ms. Kathleen Dunseith served in the Army in 2007 and 2008. She was trained in Psychological Operations. She joined the Army she desired to make a change in her life. She was unclear about her career goals. Her biggest challenge during her time in the military was the frustration of being on medical hold and watching my friends go on to airborne and language school. I overcame this by trying to be as helpful as I could and leading others who were on medical hold through low impact stretching exercises during PT, rather than them just walking around the PT field or standing on the side.
My mom cried when she joined the Army but that was partly because she joined the Army rather than the Air Force, like she had.
She hopes her students learn enough to become active citizens and know I care about them.
My unique background and experiences give me the ability to adapt to changes easily - which helps with the chaotic nature of working with teenagers.
I enjoyed my time in the military and wish it had been longer but my long term goals are to continue teaching and would maybe like to write. I like to talk about my time in the military and about those I served with. I still keep up with some of them through social media.
