McDonnell Elementary School recently held a special PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Celebration for the third quarter, where students who earned 75 dojo points were invited to attend a Picnic and Popsicle Party. These students were recognized for demonstrating positive behavior over the past 9 weeks and for consistently following our school expectations of being respectful, responsible, and safe.

Students were encouraged to bring a blanket and enjoy their lunch outdoors in our newly constructed outdoor classroom. They had the option of sitting at picnic tables or spreading out on the grass to enjoy their meal in the beautiful spring sunshine. After lunch, the fun continued with popsicles and free time to play. Students had a blast running around with friends and even practicing their hula hoop skills!

The event was a wonderful celebration of our students' great behavior and a reminder of the positive impact of following school expectations. We are already looking forward to our next PBIS party in May and encourage parents to continue to support and motivate their students to display good character and make positive choices. Keep up the great work, McDonnell students!
