2nd Grade students were engaged in AMSTI rock investigations presented by Casey Perry. Students compared and contrasted volcanic rocks then sorted them by size, shape or color. The next lesson students then sorted and washed river rocks. We learned about the properties and how rocks weather. Students really enjoy these hands on science lessons.
