On April 13th, 2024, the Mountain Gap Green Grizzlies Greenpower team participated in the Toyota Classic at Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. The team is comprised of thirteen seventh and eighth graders who have worked hard all year modifying their F24 car to race. The team did a wonderful job at the race. They were cool, calm, and collected while the race was occurring; even when conducting their pit changes. The Green Grizzlies placed 1st in their heat and prior to racing, the students created a presentation based on the event's presentation rubric. With their placement in their race and presentation score, the team won the 1st place overall award for the Intermediate Modified Division.
