In late April, the Huntsville Wolfpack Lacrosse Club did basic skills with the 6-8th grade PE class introducing them to how to hold a lacrosse stick, how to cradle and how to keep the ball in their possession. They also taught them how to pick up a ground ball when it drops from your stick.

Lacrosse is known as the fastest sport on 2 feet because of the speed in which players are able to move the ball down the field.

The sport is also the oldest sport in North America as it was created by the Native Americans. Many tribes played, each with their own set of rules, but it was used to settle land disputes and also was played between warring tribes in place of an actual war.
