In an effort to empower students with essential financial knowledge, Horizon Bank recently hosted a workshop on financial literacy to 3rd and 4th grade students, providing valuable insights and practical tips for managing money effectively. Led by knowledgeable experts from the bank, the workshop covered a range of topics, from budgeting and saving to investing. Through engaging presentations, interactive activities, and real-life examples, participants gained a deeper understanding of how to navigate the complex world of finance with confidence.
One of the highlights of the workshop was the emphasis on practical strategies for building a strong financial foundation. Participants learned how to create a budget tailored to their individual needs and goals, allowing them to take control of their spending and savings habits. They also received guidance on the importance of setting financial goals and developing a plan to achieve them, whether it's saving for a major purchase, building an emergency fund, or planning for retirement.
