During Read Across America Week, students in grades K-5 eagerly participated in an exciting reading challenge, fostering a love for books while engaging in friendly competition. The challenge encouraged young readers to immerse themselves in stories, with classrooms racing to read the most books by the end of the week. Teachers and staff cheered on students as they flipped through pages, explored new adventures, and strengthened their literacy skills. The challenge not only promoted a culture of reading but also inspired students to set personal reading goals. To reward their hard work and dedication, the top-performing classes were treated to special celebrations, including an ice cream party, a popcorn party, or a popsicle party. The students’ enthusiasm for reading was evident as they eagerly participated, proving that reading can be both fun and rewarding. In addition, Read Across America Week served as a reminder of the power of books to inspire, educate, and bring joy to young minds. With such an overwhelming response to the challenge, the school looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.
