I asked the cheer coach, Ms. Finley, about cheer events for the school year. She said there were going to pep rally parades, basketball games, and football games. They're also hoping to do a fundraiser.

In total, there are 13 cheerleader members, one of them being the manager. Cheerleaders must have an aerage of 75 or above to stay on the team. Unacceptable behavior will result in being removed from the team. Anyone wanting to be made Cheer Captain will need to have exceptional grades and be present at every practice.

I asked Ms. Finley if she was going to be accepting more people on the team. Her answer was no because the last cheer tryout day was the 20th of August. Practice will be twice a week. The first cheer practice was on August 27th. They will warm up with stretches and work on dances called "20 counts".

According to the teacher, the team will make their first appearance at the second game, since they started late. Ms. Finley said, “I take pride in telling my team that they are leaders, and their every move is watched, and that they represent our school and team as a whole”.
