Students from second, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade participated in the Global Read Aloud this year. The Global Read Aloud is an activity in which students from around the world read the same book and then connect with each other to share reactions and information about their hometowns. Monte Sano students participated in a postcard exchange. Second grade students did an author study of six books by Jacqueline Woodson. Fourth graders read Future Hero by Remi Blackwood. Fifth graders are reading A River’s Story by Jasmine Warga. Sixth graders read A Work in Progress by Jarrett Lerner.
