During the first week of GATE classes, our students participated in an inspiring "Word of the Year" activity, drawing from the creative ideas of Tolentino Teaching. Each student reflected on a personal goal they wanted to achieve this school year and selected a word to represent that goal. They then crafted word art to display in the hallway and made friendship bracelets with their chosen words, serving as daily reminders to stay focused on their aspirations. The words and accompanying paragraphs were impressive, showcasing the depth of their goals. The excitement spread as even our principal and teachers began pondering their own Words of the Year to add to our growing wall of inspiration outside the GATE classroom.
