Student enjoying hands-on activities at PES

Providence Elementary students and their families celebrated Earth Day at our STEAM Night! Students programmed robots, dissected owl pellets, learned about the importance of bees for pollination, learned about and met a snake, created a kindness tree, participated in a variety of science experiments, coded Awbie, and so much more! Many thanks to New Century Technology High School and Columbia High School for providing volunteers. Also thanks to the Huntsville Council PTA and the Green Team for providing grant monies to support our event. Thanks to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, their guides and their beekeepers, EarthScope, the Huntsville Environmental Coalition, and Madison County, Alabama 4-H for sharing your expertise and sense of fun!
