This week in the Library, our first graders are getting their detective badges and learning how to investigate crimes against Library Books. They are first learning how to take care of library books and discussing how pets, food, drinks, and other items can damage our books. Then they are rolling up their sleeves, using a magnifying glass, and studying books that have been damaged by other students. They have to determine if the crime was: a) scribbling on the book; b) spilling food or drink on the book; c) ripping the pages of the book; or d) a pet chewed or ruined the book.
They are taking their jobs very seriously and are doing a great job of investigating each book!
