For Read Across America Week, we celebrated with lots of reading! We started off the week with guest readers who are members of the Delta Pi Nu Chapter of DKG and we love when they visit Ridgecrest. On Read Across America Day 2: Our teachers swapped classrooms to read to a new class in a new grade level! Even our Principal Ms. O and Assistant Principal Ms. Hughes joined in. We also had guest readers from Covenant Presbyterian Church on Wednesday of Read Across America Week. They read Dr. Seuss books to some very thrilled kiddos. On March 5th we had so many amazing mystery readers - a few worked on Redstone Arsenal, one was our kitchen manager, another our Tech Coach, our district’s Digital Curriculum Coordinator, a former Assistant Principal, a former student, and a Professor at UAH! On Thursday of Read Across America Week, our students were the guest readers!! We had 4th and 5th graders from GATE and a special student who came up with the idea.
