Hereford Elementary School scholars were selected to participate in a Cyber Security Competition at UAH on Friday, March 1st. These students participated in 6 challenges related to cyber security. They had to disassemble a computer and put it back together, labeling the parts, and giving the definition of those parts, figure out the hacker who infiltrated a company's computer system, and decipher and use Morse Code to figure out secret messages. Our scholars also participated in measuring, cutting and stripping wires, and answering cyber security related questions in a head to head challenge which they won with a score of 50 points. They did a few other things as well, along with entering into the poster contest. These sixth grade students and Mrs. Marr did an amazing job representing Hereford Elementary School!
