Dear Whitesburg Family,
Happy New Year 2023! I am so happy to see the student’s smiling facing this week. I hope you had a great holiday break.
We had our MOY iReady testing before the holiday break. Our data looks pretty good. We were at a 73% Growth Rate in ELA and a 47% Growth Rate in Math. At the mid-year point, we should be at a 50% Growth Rate. At the end of the year, we should be at a 100% Growth Rate. You can see that we are well above the 50% in ELA and slightly under the 50% in Math. We will continue to work strategically to reach and pass our 100% Growth Rate for the year.
Please continue to be a part of our growth. Ask your teacher what the growth rate is for your child. The same goes for the individual student growth rate as described for the school’s growth rate above. The student should be at 50% Growth Rate at mid-year as well. If they are below that 50%, ask how you can support the growth at home. This is a group effort, and it takes all of us.
