Whitesburg Parents and Guardians,
Did our K-2 students show up and show out or what?!? Our Christmas Program, A Bug's Life, was so fun! Thanks to Ms. Çarpenay and the teachers who made it happen, the students who performed so well, and the parents who helped out with costumes and came to support your children. It was a great night.
This week is our last week of the 1st semester. I cannot believe we have made it through a half of a school year already. We have been looking for "Bright Lights," students who are shining bright for the past week, and will continue to look for them this next week. We pick two bright lights each day and announce them at broadcast. Each bright light receives a Bright Light Sucker. Our students have worked hard to be chosen as our bright light of the day and look forward to listen to see if they have been chosen.
Thanks to PTA for our Lion Shoppe this past week. It is such a joy to see the students choosing gifts for friends and family members.
We have completed our ACAP Practice Test and it looks like we are well on our way of learning our standards and becoming proficient. Please continue to encourage your students to do their very best in their academics.
Please remember your classroom teachers this holiday season. They love your children and work tirelessly to pour into their lives.
Let's continue to strive for excellence in everything that we do.
Thank you for your support! I am blessed to serve with you at the BURG!
Thanks,
Mrs. Jones
