Whitesburg Parents and Guardians,
We have had a great week of teaching and learning!
Our Color Run was a great success. We raised approximately $7,500! We could not have done this without your support. Thank you for always being the Burg's biggest supporters.
We began our state ACAP testing this past week with our 4th graders taking their Science ACAP. I am so proud of them. Most all of them, took their time and read the questions carefully. We begin our ELA ACAP on Tuesday, April 1. We want this to be an exciting time of showing everyone how hard all have worked and their progress. Please continue to go by the tips below.
Here are a few tips that you can do for your child's success on the test.
Make sure your child is prepared.
Encourage your child to take their time, read each question carefully, and do their best.
Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep.
Make sure your child has eaten breakfast (Each student has the opportunity to get breakfast at school, but I know that some of them eat at home because they are picky eaters.)
Keep a positive outlook regarding testing, so that your child will have the same outlook. (They look up to you and follow your directives.)
The link below is very helpful for parents as well.
Let's continue to strive for excellence in everything that we do.
Thank you for your support! I am blessed to serve with you at the BURG!
Thanks,
Mrs. Jones
