Valhalla Funeral Home desires to help our community and give back in any way we can. We periodically try to sponsor a fundraising event. We choose a local organization to support. This Spring, we are partnering with the Kids to Love Foundation! This wonderful service helps local foster families in so many ways.
Our event is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025. We will be having a Pop-Up vendor event from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Car Show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. In conjunction with these two events, we wanted to get our local students involved. We have decided to have a poster contest. We hope this poster contest will encourage elementary students grades K-6 to be creative and express that creativity through our theme of Weather Preparedness and Weather Awareness. The goal is to educate our children on the importance of Severe Weather Preparedness while using their gift of creativity. I have enclosed a flyer with a brief description and information on this contest.
We are asking for you to please help us make this contest successful by encouraging your students to participate. Our suggestion would be for teachers to make this a class project, etc. for the students to participate. We feel this is an opportunity for your students to use their creativity while being educated on Severe Weather Preparedness. Please reach out to me if you have any further questions or are wanting to participate at roberta.norman@dignitymemorial.com or 256-797-1202/256-852-8500. We hope to hear from you and look forward to working with you! Posters must be submitted by noon on Friday, April 18th.
