School Readiness (Pre-K)
The School Readiness Department will ensure that Pre-Kindergarten students have access to a high-quality developmentally appropriate learning environment to prepare them for school success in the 21st century.
The Pre-K application window has reopened and will remain open until December 31, 2023. Applicants will be automatically waitlisted and notified if a vacancy occurs.
To qualify, children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2023 (no exceptions)
The 2023-2024 HCS Pre-K application requires two steps this year: You must complete both links below to be considered for a position in Pre-K.
STEP 1: Completion of the Alabama First Class Pre-K Online Application
STEP 2: Completion of the Huntsville City Schools Pre-Kindergarten Application
