Behavioral Learning

Our Student Code of Conduct promotes a safe learning environment by identifying student misbehavior, the consequences for inappropriate conduct, and the progressive disciplinary steps assigned to each behavior.

The Student Code of Conduct provides HCS students with clearly defined expected behaviors and consequences for inappropriate student conduct. It also gives teachers and principals a framework of progressive supports for correcting inappropriate student behavior while maintaining a strong learning environment.

Huntsville City Schools has revised its Student Code of Conduct based on feedback from teachers, principals, students, their families, and the community.
