Welcome to the Fine Arts Department of Huntsville City Schools. We oversee and coordinate fine arts programs across all HCS schools, ensuring that every student has access to quality arts education. Our role involves working closely with school principals, teachers, students, parents, and community partners to develop and implement effective arts curriculum and initiatives that align with district and state standards. Through careful planning and advocacy, we aim to cultivate a vibrant arts environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
We provide support to teachers within Huntsville City Schools to enhance their teaching practices and promote equitable access to arts education for all students. Through strategic planning and advocacy, we strive to create a thriving arts ecosystem that fosters creativity. Our goal is to empower students to become confident and expressive individuals who contribute positively to their communities. From foundational skills to the advanced techniques offered at our fine arts magnet schools, we provide comprehensive instruction that empowers students to discover their unique artistic voices and unleash their full creative potential.
