Curriculum Review Complaint

Instructions: This form may only be completed by a parent or guardian of a student enrolled with the Huntsville City Board of Education. A parent or guardian should complete this form only if the parent or guardian intends to file a complaint against their student’s classroom teacher for failure to comply with the Parents Right to Know Act (Act 2024-35). Completed forms will be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent.

A complaint may only be filed for limited reasons under the Parents' Right to Know Act. Please select one or more of the following options that describe the allegations against the teacher.

The teacher failed to provide a detailed summary by email, telephone, or other electronic means of (1) instructional materials adopted by the Board of Education; (2) supplementary instructional materials in the classroom that were not adopted by the Board of Education; or (3) books in the classroom that are available to read in the classroom.
