Five HCS Seniors Named Presidential Scholar Candidates

Five seniors in Huntsville City Schools (HCS) received the prestigious honor of being named Presidential Scholar candidates for 2022. Of the 3.6 million high school seniors set to graduate this year, these Presidential Scholar candidates are among only 5,000 high school seniors across the country to receive the distinction.

The Presidential Scholars Program recognizes excellence in academics, the arts, or career and technical education (CTE). Each year, up to 161 students are named as Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
