Columbia High JROTC to Present Colors for U.S. Paralympic Cycling Open

The U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open will take place April 17-18 in Cummings Research Park, and we’re honored to announce that Columbia High School’s JROTC will present the colors during the opening ceremony each morning. This is a wonderful event for Huntsville and we are excited our students will play an important role in welcoming the Para athletes who are coming to the Rocket City to compete! Please note that the area near Columbia High School will be closed to the public due to COVID protocols, but you can watch the opening ceremonies live on the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s YouTube channel.

Bring the family and locate along Explorer Boulevard each day to watch the races! Be aware Explorer Blvd. will close each morning at 6am due to the race route, but refer to this Spectator Guide for which roads to use to come in to access the course, where to park, and more. This event is free and outdoors!
